The Campania Region and the CMCC Foundation (Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change) present “Campania Climate Hub,” a new interactive, open-source service for exploring climate data across the regional territory. This innovative tool was developed to support climate change risk analysis and to plan adaptation measures in key sectors such as health, agriculture, water resources, tourism, and energy.

The service, freely accessible on Dataclime (registration required), integrates multiple data sources to provide a comprehensive picture of the current climate and its possible future evolution. In particular, “Campania Climate Hub” allows users to visualize the climate indicators proposed in the Regional Climate Framework, enabling the monitoring of the most relevant variables for the Campania territory, such as mean temperature, precipitation, and drought.

The service is organized into several sections, each based on a different data source (such as high-resolution datasets and climate projections), offering crucial inputs for spatial planning and long-term climate risk management.

The service is primarily intended for local administrators, technicians, and researchers, but is also accessible to citizens interested in better understanding how climate change is affecting Campania and what challenges lie ahead for the region. Maps, charts, and summary statistics are available for free download through the Dataclime platform. Users are advised to read and comply with the disclaimer associated with the use of the results, in order to ensure correct and informed use.
